Johnstown Housing Authority employees have come together to collect donations from our generous coworkers in an effort to provide goods and other assistance to local charities and community organizations. JHA Administration is very proud of our employees' generosity and willingness to create initiatives that benefit our local community.

April 9, 2022

Our staff was excited to participate in the Bunny Hop event hosted by Discover Downtown Johnstown Partnership.

JHA's own "Easter Bunny" was available to pose for photos and hand out Little Hug drinks to kids around Central Park.

JHA employees donated items to the Cambria County Backpack Project for the month of March.

Our generous staff was happy to provide items that will go towards feeding kids in our area.

The CCBP is a partnership fund of the Community Foundation of the Alleghenies and is housed in The Learning Lamp. They provide weekend meals throughout the school year to kids in Cambria County who face chronic hunger. ccbackpack.org

Our employees donated items to Cuddles For Kids in February.

CFK is an amazing all-volunteer organization that serves our local communities by distributing toys, stuffed animals and other items to brighten the lives of children.

Since their inception in 2006, they have donated more than $750,000 worth of items to hospitals and children's agencies. cuddlesforkids.net.

January 18, 2022

When the Cambria County Backpack Project announced that they were in need of volunteers to help pack bags on short notice, our staff was glad to step in!

Johnstown Housing Authority strongly supports CCBP in their mission, especially since their services may directly affect the youth in our communities.

January 2022

For January, JHA employees donated items to Precious Life.

They are a great organization that makes gift baskets for newborns to distribute in hospitals.

December 2021

In December, our employees collected coats and other winter gear to donate to CASA/Beginnings.

Our employees' donations will help quite a few families stay warm this winter!

For those who aren’t familiar, CASA is Court Appointed Special Advocates for children and Beginnings serves children from birth to age 5, enabling them to reach their full potential and empowering their families through early intervention, extensive educational opportunities, and advocacy. November 2021

For the month of November, our employees decided to collect pet food and supplies to donate to the Pet Food Pantry at St. Mark's Episcopal Church on Locust St in downtown Johnstown.

This act of kindness resulted in over 180 pounds of food, 40 pounds of cat litter, 2 dog coats and over $100 cash being donated to St Mark's Pet Food Pantry.
